NO-GO Tag
Our patented NO-GO Tag system is an advanced tool for rotor placement that eliminates the need for a conventional tag bar below the PCP stator. By replacing the conventional tag bar with a NO-GO Tag, the pump intake can be continuously cleared of sand and solids by an extended or paddle rotor. Since the precision helix in NO-GO Tag matches the stator helix, no flow losses are created and the elastomer is protected from coiled tubing.
Applications:
- CHOPS – Cold Heavy Oil Production with Sand
- Medium and heavy oil wells with sand
- CBM/CSG wells producing solids
- Wells with a history of intake plugging
- Wells with minimal cellar
- Positioned at the stator discharge, leaving the intake free of obstruction
- Allows the rotor or paddle to agitate freely below the stator keeping sand and solids in suspension
- Coil can pass through the stator by simply pulling up polish rod to remove rotor from the stator
- Protects the discharge end of stator elastomer by guiding the coil through the stator
- Provides positive tag for proper rotor placement by guiding the rotor through a timed helical tag passage into stator elastomer
- Unique integrated design eliminates flow losses and extra connections
- Tags using the rotor head or a conventional rod box
- Eliminates costly mechanical tools below the pump while maintaining circulation clean-out capabilities
- Extends pump run live
- Allows for easy space-out following conventional “tag-bar” procedures and removes rotor breaks that were previously caused by the rotor running in compression on the tag bar
